Windows Firewall

Hi,

Since last NSM update 5.1.0 something is wrong with Windows Firewall option. I have set up in multiple profile option "Enable firewall" but after I run a profile windows firewall is disabled. This was happening on Windows 10 and now after upgrade on Windows 11. Tried to un check and check again firewall option but it didn't help.
Last version didn't have that problem. Application was updated form within app notification that update is available.

Regards.

Re: Windows Firewall

Please add a screenshot with your firewall configuration in NSM and the result you see in Windows. Also add the relevant part of the activation log (open it at the bottom of the activation dialog). We can then put it through to verification. Thank you.

Re: Windows Firewall

Hi,

I've tested a bit and it seems options are mixed up. If I select DISABLE than firewall is enabled smile). When FW was enabled I clicked in NSM option to get current state and it set it to ENABLE but during activation local FW was set to disabled. I'm including screenshots and log file (some data is obscured like IP, shares...).

Re: Windows Firewall

Thank you. We have now analyzed the problem and you are right. Apparently, in the process of fixing an issue with the exceptions/notifications options, we have mixed up main enable/disable option of the firewall status. We have now fixed it for the next release.
Sorry for that.
