Error 97
So the profile I use at my work place gives me
IP + Subnet Mask Error:97
Default Gateway Error:97
DNS server No Connection (84)
the rest I've kept empty. I searched and I couldn't find a post for error 97. the strange thing is it used to work. it just stopped working a week ago. now I have to go in and manually enter the IP and DNS settings.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
btw, my settings are
Use the following IP address
IP Address 10.10.10.18
Subnet Mask 255.0.0.0
Detault Gateway: 10.10.10.254
Use the following DNS
Preferred 85.15.1.10
Alt 85.15.1.12

Re: Error 97
Error 97 comes directly from Microsoft and is described as "Interface not configurable." (see also the activation log) Unfortunately no more information is provided.
It could mean that the network adapter is locked for some reason or that some other program is preventing it from being modified.
Do you remember whether you installed any new system tools at the time when NetSetMan stopped working for you?
If this doesn't lead to a solution, you could try to work through the general solutions stated in the FAQ. (first two topics)
Especially the WMI interface part might be helpful.

Re: Error 97
So after a few weeks of manually changing my IP, I realized that I had the wrong Network Adapter. I simply changed it back to Wireless and it started working again.
Thanks for your great software.

Re: Error 97
I'm visiting family and I can't get connected to the Wi-Fi or cable connection at their house. IP and subnet mask are ok, default gateway is ok, but DNS server gives me Error 94, path, file or object not found. I tried making a new profile. My profiles at work and home work are fine. What to do?

Re: Error 97
Did you already have a look at the faq? (www.netsetman.com/faq). There are the errors 95 and 96 described. 94 might be something similar, especially because the error appears only for DNS.
Please try all the solutions described there.
