Activation sequence with "Adapter" in v261 Pro

Situation as follows:

- Network Adapter is deactivated
- Profile change using NetSetMan and Option "Activate Adapter"
- Error 84 occurs when setting IP-Address, Gateway, etc. as activation of adapter with dhcp has not completed before the other tasks are performed.

Should NetSetMan not wait until the adapter activation has completed before performing other network tasks?

Re: Activation sequence with "Adapter" in v261 Pro

NetSetMan activates the network adapter and waits for a confirmation from Windows that this has been done. Then it continues with the other settings. It has been tested and varified to act this way on several systems.

Reading your message makes me think if there might be any special protocols or softwares (like a firewall that injects itself into the network adapter) and thus takes longer to load then the adapter actually needs itself getting a message from Windows that the adapter is activated although it's not completely loaded.

Could you please tell me if you have any special software or protocols installed that might affect your network adapters? (If you don't know, then please have a look at the properties of that adapter.)

Yes - I have a firewall on the system (Kerio/Sunbelt v4).

Special protocols are not installed.
