Unable to obtain a public IP
A user reported that he cannot access to internet at his home using a broadband connection.
After troubleshooting w/ him, I found out that NetSetMan is working properly within LAN, but not a broadband connection which assigns a public IP directly to his PC since he doesn't have a broadband router at his home.
Is it possible to get a public IP address using this software??
I've tried both DHCP & Static, but didn't work. I cannot even ping to the gateway.
Is this a bug?
Please kindly advise.
Thank you very much in advance.

Re: Unable to obtain a public IP
NetSetMan is supposed to assign the IP address with the same result that you would get if you assigned that IP manually using the normal Windows dialogs.
Do you get a different result assigning that public IP by Windows or by NetSetMan?

NetSetMan does not get any IPs itself - It tells Windows to do so (e.g. by assigning DHCP)
In general: If you want to have a public IP assigned you should use DHCP instead of configuring it manually.
