NetSetMan doesn't work for me....!!!

Sorry to say but I can't get it to work for me. I am using version 2.5.3 but I can't activate a profile. It's hanging on activating...!!

I followed the instructions given by the FAQ "Activating  a profile doesn't work...." but no luck!

NetSetman didn't work for me also under 2.5.2.....!!

It's a Pro version and hopefully it can work for me one day also.

In desperate need of help.....!!

Re: NetSetMan doesn't work for me....!!!

Did it work before 2.5.2?

If it's really just hanging on activation without any messages for the settings, it very likely the WMI interface.
If you really did every single step in the first FAQ point, and it still doesn't work, then it's really strange.

You could try to disable all security programs temporarily. (Anti-Spyware, Anti-Virus, Firewall, anything you might have installed for security reasons.) It's possible that one of them is simply denying access to the WMI interface. If you disabled all and it works then enable one by one again an try NSM in between to find out which one causes the problem.

Additionally you can send me the settings.ini file from your program folder, so I can have a look at your settings directly, if you like.

Also please try to refresh the network adapter list and select an adapter again.

Hello Ilja,

Thanks for your fast reply. In short:
- I started under 2.5.2
- and yes, I followed every single step.

After your reply I repeated the procedure just to be certain but still no luck untill I refreshed the network adapter list and now it's working.....YES...!!! smile

So it's the combination that's working for me.
This post can be changed to [SOLVED] and next time I will post earlier...!! roll

Thanks again,
Ed

PS: please add refreshing network adapter list to FAQ.

Re: NetSetMan doesn't work for me....!!!

I use a profile that allows me to have a fixed address so I can open ports on my router.

I noticed that each adapter, bluetooth, Teamviewer, are set to the adaptor's setup and vice versa, therefor if a static ip is set, there will be a conflict.  I'd be happy to be proven wrong.
