Wireless no longer working after uninstalling NetSetMan

I installed NetSetMan but found the software not really useful (mainly because I could not use it by indicating a SSID) and decided to uninstall it.
After the uninstall, I can still connect to wireless (ipconfig shows a connection) but I cannot ping and cannot access any internet web site.

Re: Wireless no longer working after uninstalling NetSetMan

Installing and uninstalling NetSetMan doesn't change any system files. Only files in the program folder and optionally shortcuts in the start menu are created. Therefore only the unistallation procedure cannot be the reason.
Maybe you have changed your IP settings of the wifi card and didn't change them back?

No I really did not change anything else.

Re: Wireless no longer working after uninstalling NetSetMan

Then it must be something else. As I described with an installation only program files are copied to the chosen folder. No system files are altered, no files in other folders are created. When you uninstall the program only the content from the program folder is removed. Nothing else is changed. It's simply impossible that the uninstallation affects the wifi in any way.

Got it. at the same time, I installed ActiveSync (to use my smartphone as data modem). This must be the cause of the problem (although I still do not know how to solve it)
