Re: Net drive problems
and it gets better. if i manually disconnect them, then netsetman will NEVER reconnect them. So I guess this doesn't really work with net drives?

Re: Net drive problems
OK, this only seems to be a problem when on a public network. Maybe it is vista not wanting to allow any map drive changes on public networks. Also I have noticed vista tries to reconnect to the drives before i am actually fully on the network, so it tells me it couldn't connect even though they are there. Then after i wait a minute I can double click on the mapped drive and it will connect to it. Windows 2000 used to do this, but they fixed it in xp. Now they do the same dumb stuff in vista? Why try to connect to a net drive before even getting fully connected to the network

Re: Net drive problems
Well I guess I will get no help here. Glad I didn't purchase this non-working crap. Off to look for a good solution.

Re: Net drive problems
I'm sorry if it doesn't work for you. That's why the NC-Freeware needs to be tested before buying the Pro version. If it doesn't work for your purpose then it might not be your solution.
Well hard to tell what the problem is. Vista changed so many things that a tool that is so close to the system settings might fail with a feature or a combination of circumstances. That's why Vista still is only supported as a beta feature.
Besides, you write in your third post that you think it's a bug in Vista ... ?
One thing I can tell: In Vista you might have problems with UAC. Please deactivate it for testing purposes.
And: If your explorer runs with limited privileges you might not see the mounted net drives in the explorer, because they are mounted with administrator privileges.
