IP opening in Browser
Dear,
I am currently using the Brave browser, and I’ve encountered an issue when trying to open IP addresses directly. When I double-click on an IP address to open it in the browser, Brave opens but without navigating to the IP address itself.
Ideally, it would be helpful to have a setting that automatically formats IP addresses as https://[IP address] instead of \\[IP address]. This would prevent manual corrections and ensure the browser opens the correct URL directly.
Thank you for your assistance!
Kind regards,

Re: IP opening in Browser
We can only guess that you are referring to the integrated Network Scanner?
If so, then a double-click is supposed to open the system in the Windows Explorer to show its shared folders. If you want to open it in the browser with http or https, you can right-click it and choose an option from the "Open" menu.
If you meant something completely different, please provide further details and screenshots.

Yep thats what I mean. The problem is, it doesnt work with Brave as browser. It opens Brave but doesn't load an IP-adress.

Re: IP opening in Browser
The \\ protocol is usually reserved for local file sharing protocols in Windows Explorer. It is unclear why Brave took it in your case, because to our knowledge it cannot browse through the SMB protocol. You may want to find out how to assign it back as it was.
However, if your goal is to open a http(s) connection to a found IP, you would need to use the right-click/Open menu anyway.
