Software digital signature revoked

Hi

5.3.1 version has the following error:
NetSetMan GmbH
This certificate was revoked by its certification authority.

As such it cannot be installed on Windows

We are currently replacing the signature certificate in consultation with the certificate issuer. In this context, the previous certificate was replaced by a new one and revoked on 29 May 2024. However, all previous signatures should remain unaffected by this, as the signature also contains a signed timestamp.

We are very irritated that you are now noticing this blocking. We cannot see it yet, but the operating systems do not retrieve the revocation lists every day. Could you please send us a screenshot of the blocking message? You can attach it here in a reply.

We will publish a new version next week at the latest, when the replacement certificate is available, which will certainly solve the problem, but the problem should not have occurred at all and we will now confront the certificate issuer again directly. If you could send us the screenshot, this would also help us.

As a temporary solution, you should be able to start the program by right-clicking on it and selecting “Run as administrator”, in which case no additional signature check is carried out by the NetSetMan service.

Hi

Attached the images you requested.

Run as Admin would not work in (most) machines because of UAP policies.
I think that is the reason why im getting this message.

We are currently waiting for the replacement certificate token delivery. This should hopefully happen today.

In the meantime: Are you able to run the application by right-clicking it and selecting “Run as administrator”?

No, not possible
Same situation as from mhagen reported.
Anyhow, no need for speed for me. If it will work next week it is ok for me.

We have now released version 5.3.2 with a new certificate which should solve the problem.
Please download the new setup file and install the update manually.
In the future, updates will again be available through the integrated update dialog.

The setup for the Pro version can be download from the customer area.
The setup for the Non-Commercial freeware version can be downloaded directly from the main page.
