Can I auto-activate a profile using the internal NIC MAC address
Windows 11 Pro
NetSetMan V5.2.0
First, let me say that I abbsolutely LOVE NetSetMan - it is a very well written, clean UI, and a feature-rich program!
I've worked with computers since 1978, and thus I have many computers and many laptops.
My question is: can I auto-activate a profile using the internal NIC MAC address?
Explanation:
I have NetSetMan on my Google drive and I run it on every laptop I have from that same location so I only have one config I need to maintain. I also have some of my laptops IP address statically assigned.
Can I use the laptop's internal MAC address as part of the activation scheme, so when I move a laptop from location to location, it'll activate the proper profile (with proper static IP) at each location?
And if I use another laptop at that same location, it'll activate it's own (different) profile.
Remember, all these laptops will use the same NetSetMan cnfiguration file (on Google drive), so the internal MAC address being part of the criteria is critical
Thanks in advance!
Steve

Re: Can I auto-activate a profile using the internal NIC MAC address
Thank you for your kind words!
There is no trigger or condition that is based on the internal NIC MAC addresses.
But based on your use case description, you should be able to achieve the same result by using the User Account condition, so different user accounts on different laptops lead to different profile activations.
