Auto configure
Great Program! Just what I was looking for to quickly switch from dynamic to static ip addresses.
Here's something else that would be great for me. My use of this program is to allow me to go from a dynamic ip in normal use, to a static 169... ip address that I use when I connect a second computer via a crossover cable. That is all I do, so what would be great for me is if your program could determine whether a dns server exists to dynamically assign me an ip. if it does not, then timeout to fixing me to a predefined ip address (e.g. 169...). Of course windows already does this automatically, but it takes a couple of minutes for it to timeout to the 169 address. Since the dns will assign me an ip address in a couple of seconds, I'd like the ability to timeout to the static much quicker than windows. So if your program could do this automatically, then I could just switch from a network cable connected to a dns server, to a computer with a crossover cable and be running in seconds. Please give me your thoughts on if this request makes sense, or if there is a different way I should be pursuing this need. thanks again

Re: Auto configure
sorry, I meant dhcp, not dns. Also, maybe a better description of what I want is: if I select for a profile to obtain an ip address automatically, then allow a secondary ip address to be defined for that profile that would get set a defined time period after the lan is connected. In my case, the secondary profile would then be the 169 address. If it goes to the secondary address, then reset back to automatically when the lan connection is lost.

Re: Auto configure
Actually I'm still not sure if I got your main point correctly, but for me it seems quite like a very rare purpose. But I can tell you that I'm planning to integrate a feature for changing the settings automatically depending on the current network. This should be suitable for you, too. To be honest, I'm not absolutely sure if this is completely possible the way I imagine it.
Please give it some time, because is isn't just a normal feature like the other ones, but a completely new concept (-> permanent monitoring)
