We agree that it would be useful to have more details in that list. The problem is that this kind of menu item does not provide any customization options, not even a tooltip. We have done some experiments in the past to add tooltips to menu items and might be able to implement a workaround for this purpose here.

We think about adding multiple lines of details in a tooltip for each menu item.
Please provide your suggestion in detail what kind of "type" you were suggesting initially.

We have created detailed tooltips for the wireless networks in this menu. This is included in version 5.2.0 which was released today.
