DHCP Server
Any chance of getting a DHCP Server Tool?
I often work on isolated systems without any router.
Some equipment does not go to LinkLocal addressing, and will only become visible when it gets a DHCP address. I could dig out my cheapo router, but it would be nicer if I could just do a few clicks in NSM.
Thanks!+

Re: DHCP Server
We have a very long list of features that we would like to implement. Your use case is specific and we assume that there are already tools available that do exactly that. The tools we implement in NetSetMan should be generally useful for a larger user base.
We have added your request, but please be understanding that it won't be possible to implement it in the foreseeable future.

+ 1 to this request.

I would also add that the DHCP server feature needs to be isolated to a specific network adapter(user selectable).
I am often commissioning equipment where a DHCP sever is needed for first time connection to equipment on the local LAN, but the Wifi connections is going to a central server that I don't want to disrupt with a competitive DHCP server.

Re: DHCP Server
This won't be available in the forseeable future as it is a completely separated functionality from the rest of the application. There are tons of network related features imaginable, but the main focus for NetSetMan is to manage your own client settings, not to implement server functionalities to manage other clients.
We assume that there other tools available that do exactly what you need.
However, we understand your use cases, so it's not a "no, never" but a "no, not now".

Re: DHCP Server
This would be an excellent new feature, like mapletech and co2cat I have similar use cases where it would be very convenient to run a dhcp server on one of my interfaces through NetSetMan, I'd gladly purchase the Pro version for that.
