All profiles lost, Running V5.0.5
For no reason, all my profile settings got cleared out. No backups available.
Not a big deal to reset them, but after a while they do get pretty full (New upgrade a month or so ago)

Re: All profiles lost, Running V5.0.5
This is the first time we hear about lost profiles using version 5.x.
In version 5.x there is actually a very solid saving mechanism ("atomic writing") that even prevents data loss in the unlikely event that a power failure occurs during the write operation.

Please be more precise. Are your profiles still there but do not contain any settings? Are your profiles gone? Is the profiles list empty or are there default profiles?

There is a Backup folder in the program folder. A backup is created each time a new version is installed, so you should at least be able to get the configuration back of when you installed the last version. If 5.0.5 was your first 5.x version and you upgraded from a 4.x version, then you need to select the 4.x file format when importing the settings file.

Re: All profiles lost, Running V5.0.5
Hi, Since it did this last time, I saved a profile from March.
This morning I open up NetSet Man and again all my profiles were no longer there!
Nothing, just emptiness. There was just an empty group box,
I had uploaded the profile from March and it populated everything.
The only thing is the sites I worked at between March and Now I have lost all the profiles and kinda defeats the object of having profiles

Re: All profiles lost, Running V5.0.5
This is really strange as we do not have any other reports of this kind. If it was a general problem, we would receive a lot of reports like yours. So there must be some special constellation that leads to this problem. Do you remember anything special happening since you last used the software? Did you add or remove some specific settings?
There was just an empty group box
This is even more strange. If there is no profile/settings file (or if it is broken), a new one is created with a new group and with two empty profiles in it. If even those two profiles were missing in your case, then it doesn't seem to be a normal constellation at all. Did you have a special name for your groups and did the empty group have that name or a default name (e.g. Group 1)?
To prevent data loss of a longer period in the future, you could export your profiles/settings file from time to time (say weekly or monthly). You can do this easily through the main menu.
