Re: Upgraged to 5.0.1 - Crashes immediately when launching program
Thank you. We have saved your bug report details and removed them from the posting, just in case they still contain personal details. We can see where the error occurs (trying to read the INI file for converting it to new XML file) and the error message tells that it's some kind of encoding problem ("No mapping for the Unicode character exists in the target multi-byte code page.") but we will need your settings.ini file to reproduce the problem. Then we can either fix it or provide a workaround. Could you please navigate to the program installation folder and send us the settings.ini file that should still be there? If it is not, open the Backup folder and send us the newest *.ini file from there.
Send the file as an email attachment to the address displayed at our contact page. Just to make sure the ini file isn't altered in the email, add it to a zip file first, before attaching it.
Thanks.

Re: Upgraged to 5.0.1 - Crashes immediately when launching program
There were two settings.ini files in the folder, one was for a completely unrelated program! I'm not sure how it ended up there. I removed the extraneous .ini file and the program launches correctly now.
Thank you for your prompt response.

How can two files with an identical name be in the same folder? That is actually impossible, because the second file would overwrite the first file, wouldn't it?

Re: Upgraged to 5.0.1 - Crashes immediately when launching program
Sorry, I should have clarified that. The files had different names. The NetSetMan file was named 'settings-20201227.ini'. The other one was for Revo Uninstaller! and was named 'settings.ini'. I honestly have no idea the file for Revo Uninstaller ended up there. I have thoroughly tested everything and restarted several times and the program is working perfectly.
Thank you again.
