"new version" warning/popup cannot be suppressed
Hi.
We've deployed NetSetMan Pro centrally, and package was created to suppress autoupdates and/or messagens re. new versions, but even with all things done according to guidelines, we still see the popup.
I've uploaded three pictures to illustrate that no tick in "search for new version" (1), autoupdate is set to false (2), but still popup comes up (3).
We need to avoid such popups, how do we do this?
Best regards
Allan.

Re: "new version" warning/popup cannot be suppressed
We have checked the source code and there is indeed one constellation where an update check and notification is forced:
1. If you are using an "unknown" Windows version - meaning that it didn't exist when the currently installed NetSetMan version has been released. You are probably using a newer Windows 10 version than the release date of that NetSetMan version (August 2018, supported Windows 10 version: 1803).
2. AND the release date of the currently installed version is older than 400 days.
We understand your point, but this is a situation that cannot happen frequently (and won't happen too soon again). Having in mind that the new version 4.7.2 also fixes a vulnerability, we highly recommend updating anyway.
Just some background info: We often receive support requests for issues that have been fixed a long time ago. Users and companies tend to disable software update checks and then continue using old versions for years. Windows keeps updating and upgrading itself automatically, so without updating software like NetSetMan, users end up using an outdated system-related software (that is supposed to modify Windows settings!) with a Windows version it hasn't been made for.
If you still want to elliminate this notification for very old versions, please send us an email with a link to this topic and we'll work something out.
