Constantly Swapping between WIFI and Wired LAN
This concerns my installation on a new Dell XPS Windows 10 Pro laptop. This PC comes only with wireless networking so I've bought a USB to RJ45 Ethernet connector.
This works well and NSM Pro recognises it and I've set up a profile to suit. My issue is that the PC insists on disconnecting and trying to connect my WIFI connection about every minute or so, it disconnects the wired LAN then attempts to connect the WIFI then falls back to the wired LAN.
Any idea why this should happen?
Thanks
Barry

Re: Constantly Swapping between WIFI and Wired LAN
NetSetMan switches profiles automatically only if you have configured AutoSwitch conditions.
According to your text this is not the case here, because you would have mentioned that.
This leads us to the conclusion that the situation you're describing has nothing to do with NetSetMan. We believe, that you've set up your Windows WiFi profile to auto-connect to that WiFi network as soon as it is in range. In that case Windows tries to connect you to that wireless network whenever it is in range. If you do not want that, you can uncheck this option. You can modify your WiFi profile settings with the built-in NSM WiFi Management tool.

Re: Constantly Swapping between WIFI and Wired LAN
Hello
Yes I understand what you say, however I can't find on my installation of Windows 10 Pro any means of changing the profile! When I tried to use the NSM Wifi Management tool it wouldn't let me save the changes complaining about an incompatible file?
Thanks

If there's an incompatibility problem, then please export that WiFi profile from the NSM WiFi Management and send it to us by email. We'll have a look at it.

Re: Constantly Swapping between WIFI and Wired LAN
Hello
All fixed, thank you.
I had to delete the associated WIFI profile and recreate it but now everything seems to be OK. I've switched off Windows connect in range and all is in order.
