Option to display info in the adapter tab only for connecteed adapters

Option to display information only for the connected adapters in the adapter/connection tab (when hovering the mouse over the netsetman icon).

In my case with lots of real and virtual adapters is a screen filling panel even if i have only one connection.

Thanks

Re: Option to display info in the adapter tab only for connecteed adapters

The TrayInfo displays the same network adapters that are included in the internal network adapters list. You can modify that list in the Network Adapter Management:
www.netsetman.com/help?hf=en#hf_nics

This is also described in the Tray Info topic of our help file:
www.netsetman.com/help?hf=en#hf_tray

Re: Option to display info in the adapter tab only for connecteed adapters

Hello

Thanks that's better.

It seems there is no option to include/exclude active/inactive adapters automatic.
If i may still suggest to have an option to display (and automatic update on state change) only connected Adapters.

Reason is several VPN clients activate the virtual adapter only when started.
or i have several active adapters but when not connected the info tab is filled with them but i need only one displayed as only this one contains useful information.

Thanks
Harlis

Re: Option to display info in the adapter tab only for connecteed adapters

To our knowledge VM network adapters are integrated in Windows in a way that shows them as connected all the time (regardless of whether there's an actual VM running that they're connected to). You can see that in Windows by going to the Network Connections dialog that'll show the VM adapters to be there all the time without a red X.
So in result we don't see a possibility to differentiate whether to display or hide a VM network adapter based on its connection status. If it's different in your case or you see a way to find out whether VM network adapter is connected or not, please describe in detail.

Hi

As an example.

Before connecting the VPN adapter is disabled

when establishing the VPN the client first activated the adapter.

Re: Option to display info in the adapter tab only for connecteed adapters

We assumed by "virtual adapters" you're referring to virtual machine (VM) adapters. If that's not the case, please send us screenshots and details about your virtual adapters. Right now Windows VPN adapters aren't included in the adapters list of NetSetMan at all, so we're not sure what you're referring to. Create the screenshots in the "Windows Network Connections" dialog with your virtual adapters enabled and disabled. You can include the screenshots either here directly or send them to us via email if you feel that they include private details.
