NSM doesn't close in 64-bit systems
I've been using NSM Pro in Win 7 Pro x64 and now in Win 8.1 Pro x64. Unfortunately it seems NSM has some problems with working in 64-bit environment as in neither of those systems it closes correctly. Each time I restart or shut down my system a window appears saying that NSM cannot close and must be closed manually. The system won't close until I actually click "End now" or kill the process from the Task Manager.
Is this some sort of a bug or limitation? If not - is there anything I could do to make NSM close properly?

Re: NSM doesn't close in 64-bit systems
Is there a reason you're assuming this problem is x64 related?
In the past we've had a couple of reports regarding this issue. Unfortunately, until now we weren't able to reproduce this problem on any of our test systems. Also it seems only a few people are experiencing this problem, because otherwise we'd receive many more complaints on this.
In version 4.0.2 we've implemented a workaround that tries to prevent that problem by ignoring all internal errors and closing the program as soon as a shutdown notification from Windows is received. Well, it seems this workaround wasn't successful. I'm afraid we're a bit clueless right now. The problem is that with the debug version that we've provided to some users willing to help tracking this problem down, the problem didn't occur anymore. Because the debug version writes a log to the hard drive and generally works slower we assume it's some kind of timing problem. But we still don't know if it's based on a certain system configuration or some setting within the software. It's incedibly difficult to track down an error that is not reproducable and that doesn't occur in a version that would actually log the error.
If you'd like to help, please try to analyze it on your system. Does it really always occur? Or only after some special actions in Windows or in NetSetMan were performed? Does it occur if you shut down directly after bootin? Try removing the settings.ini file from your installation folder (so that all settings are reset) and see if the problem still occurs.

Re: NSM doesn't close in 64-bit systems
No, actually, there's no specific reason I refer this problem to 64-bit systems. I'm just using them most of my time and remember while testing NSM Free I used Win 7 32-bit and can't recall problems with closing. But that might have been just a coincidence...
I will them keep observing the issue, especially when I restart / close my machine sooner that after 8 or more hours of work as then I can better remember if I did anything specific.
