Create 2 different profiles for same network adapter?

I'm using NetSetMan v4.0.1 on Windows 8.1 Pro x86. I want to create 2 different profiles for my WiFi adapter. My purpose is that when the computer connects to the WiFi named "Vi", NetSetMan will set a static IP address and when the computer connects to the WiFi named "So", NetSetMan will make the computer to automatically get new IP address.

I tried to create 2 different profiles as well as trying to create 2 different SET but it seems that nothing works at all. So can anyone help me please? Thanks so much.

Re: Create 2 different profiles for same network adapter?

I'm afraid that's not how it works. A profile represents a group of settings that are applied together for the selected network adapter. Subprofiles add the possibility to have multiple network adapters in one profile. In your case what happens when you activate SET1 (you can rename profiles by the way...) is that both subprofiles are activated right after each other. You can see that in the activation dialog. Thus your current configuration actually doesn't make sense.

Please get familiar with the basics here:

The linked chapter provides the basic understanding of how to use NetSetMan. The following chapter describes profiles.

After that you can set up two different profiles with the different IP and DNS settings, name the profiles accordingly and activate the AutoSwitch functionality if you want the profile switching to take place automatically. For what you've described you might want to set the condition that a WiFi network needs to be in range or that a certain network needs to be connected (Network Location). Then you'll get the desired result. I recommend reading the help file chapter about AutoSwitch as well:
