NSM stopped working
I have a problem where NSM has stopped working. I can not get ANY version of it to run anymore. I've tried reinstalling, NSM4 Pro, NSM 373 Pro, and the previous freeware versions. All are disabled.
Windows Update just installed 13 updates, and it appears that one of the updates killed NSM. I uploaded a screen capture of the update history, and a scfreen capture of the error message when NSM starts.

Re: NSM stopped working
I got NSM 2 running, so at least I have something. I found that the unregistered class id, 56fdf344-fd6d-11d0-958a-006097c9a090, has something to do with taskbar comunications. any ideas on how to re-register that?

Re: NSM stopped working
I just found that NSM 2 isn't working properly... there are no adapters listed.

Re: NSM stopped working
I got it fixed. I've been working with a malware removal group for a problem I've been having, and had made a registry backup less than 2 weeks ago. I restored the registry, and all is working again.

Re: NSM stopped working
Glad to hear you found a solution.
Although it seems strange that some Windows update broke the system.
Could you please post the screenshot you're referring to? After you uploaded it, you need to click the icon in the bottom right corner of the thumbnail to insert it into a message.

Re: NSM stopped working
To be honest I think this problem wasn't mainly the result of the Windows update but more of this:
I've been working with a malware removal group for a problem I've been having
Searching for this ClassID on the web a lot of pages come up where people report that they have this error (with other software) after having used some malware removal tool. Sometimes those tools remove more than they should.
