Establish Autoswitch for wired LAN
Hi
Would be gread if NSM would recognize known wired LAN too (e.g. by MAC address of the switch/hub/router and performs AutoSwitch to the corresponding NSM profile. In case the conditions for two profiles applies (e.g. connected to LAN and WLAN at the same time) it should be possible to priorize the profiles (e.g. by moving up/down in the list).
What do you think about?
This kind of feature is already implemented in a similar tool than NSM, called Lenovo Access Connections but this is a proprietary tool and only works on lenovo products so far I know.
Thank you for your feedback
Cheers, mikeych

Re: Establish Autoswitch for wired LAN
It's actually one of the most requested features. The reason why it hasn't been implemented already is that it needs to come with a completely reworked AutoSwitch functionality combined with different other triggers (like time based etc.) at the same time. Which makes it a big update. But the good news is I'm already working on it now.

Re: Establish Autoswitch for wired LAN
Hi
Do we know how far away this feature is, timescale wise? We are looking to implement a network profile management solution on our Windows 8.1 devices and wired network auto-switching is a pre-requisite.
Many thanks, and keep up the good work!

Re: Establish Autoswitch for wired LAN
Most of the work is already done. But there are a lot of internal dependencies on other components that require an update as well. A big AutoSwitch update is scheduled for January 2015.
