Start of program always looks for a disk in the drive
Downloaded & installed the latest version of NSM free. When I start the application it first asks whether I will allow changes to the computer (I click Yes) but then a dialog box comes up that says "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive D:.". Clicking the cancel or continue buttons have no effect, I need to throw a CD in and then the application comes up fine.
Anything I can do to get around this?

Re: Start of program always looks for a disk in the drive
To be honest, I have no clue where such a dialog might come from. NetSetMan definitely doesn't require any other folder or drive other than its installation folder.
Could you please send me a screenshot of that dialog?
Is there any chance you have an idea which other software might interfere here?
Did you download NetSetMan from the official website?

Screenshot sent.
Not sure what other software would interfere, the dialog box refers to netsetman.exe.
Yes, application was downloaded from this site.

Could you please zip the installation folder and send it to me by email? I'd like to analyze it.

Re: Start of program always looks for a disk in the drive
I performed several tests and did some research on that problem. Unfortunately it’s still unclear to me why this problem occurs for you. Your installation folder didn’t show any abnormality.
The only possibility I see how to solve this problem would be to use Process Monitor (a free software from Microsoft Windows Sysinternals) for monitoring the program start of NetSetMan.
You can download the software here:
http://technet.microsoft.com/de-de/sysi … 96645.aspx
Make sure to set the filter “[Process Name] [contains] [netsetman] then [include]” at program start, so you only see events caused by NetSetMan. If you’re not familiar with that software you can have a preview look at it in this YouTube video which shows the basic functionality.
As soon as Process Monitor is running start NetSetMan and see what file it’s trying to access on D:. If you can’t find the problem in the output, please export the log (File > Save) and send it to me.
