Blue Screen when activating a profile
Hello.
Very often, when I actívate a profile with NetSetMan I get a blue screen with the next error message:
DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (ndis.sys)
I have NetSetMan 3.6.1 installed in a Toshiba Portege R830-14M laptop with Windows 8.1. The network card is an Intel(R) 82579LM Gigabit Network Connection.
The card driver is provided by Intel, date 21/08/2013, versión 12.10.28.0
I get the same result when activating a profile with "IP-Obtain an IP address automatically" and with other profile especifying an IP address.
After restarting Windows, NetSetMan looses any configuration, even the languaje.
I was thinking about to get the pro version, but I' ll better wait for this error to be solved.
Thanks

Re: Blue Screen when activating a profile
After setting the IP addresses NetSetMan tells Windows to reinitialize the network adapter so all the settings are properly announced to the system.
The bluescreen message DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL indicates that there's some problem with a hardware driver. Because this happens at the point of a network adapter reinizialization the source of the problem is probably a faulty network adapter driver.
A web search for this problem reveals a lot of useful results:
https://www.google.com/search?q=DRIVER_ … L+ndis.sys
Please have a look to get a basic idea about the problem.
Is it a x86 or x64 system?
You can try the following things to fix the driver problem:
1. Install the latest official driver for your network adapter from the manufacturor and rebooth your system.
2. If that doesn't help, maybe there's some incompatibility with the latest driver. So instead try the original driver that came with your system (probably on a driver CD or on a special folder on your hard drive).
3. On some forums (not regarding NetSetMan) I read that people get this error when using some software that installs some additional network drivers like cFosSpeed or VirtualBox. If you do use something like this, uninstall it to see if it makes any difference.

Re: Blue Screen when activating a profile
It is an x64 system, and the driver versión is the last one. I'm going to try installing a previous versión.
Thanks.
