Problem with setting of a default printer

Hey,
i use the freeware version of NetSetMan 3.5.2 and as OS Windows 8.

I'd like to set default printer with the application, but it doesn't works. When I open the printer manager in Windows 8 and I set a new profile, I see shortly how the default printer is switching. But at the end of the process the old default printer is set again.

Is it bug?

Re: Problem with setting of a default printer

I've tried it just now with version 3.5.2 (the latest version is 3.5.3) with and without the NSM Service activated. In both cases the procedure went flawlessly in Win8.
Due to the fact that you describe it being switched but then switched back it sounds to me that there's some other software that's monitoring the current printer. Would you mind checking if that could be the case? Maybe a driver application of your printer company tries to keep their printer as the default?

Re: Problem with setting of a default printer

Oh, sorry I tipped wrong. I use 3.5.3

Now it works: I think, my 'mistake' was that I only choose the printer for the wifi adapter and not for the ethernet adapter too, which is the second and last adapter in the setting process.

After I have set the printers in all profiles and all adapters, it works. A little bit confusing and maybe a bug and not a feature wink.

thank and kind regards
Steffen

Re: Problem with setting of a default printer

Are you talking about MultiProfiles (several adapter profiles within one profile set)?
If so and you have checked the default printer to be changed within every adapter profile to different printers then of course you'll end up with such a result.
