Grey out selected profiles for users

I need a way to grey out selected profiles for all my users.  My fear is that they will unknowingly edit their "work" profiles while trying to troubleshoot wireless issues themselves or while trying to configure their "home" profiles.  I have run this as a test with some users and have found this to be the case.  I need at least their default profile to be disabled for editing.  Is this possible or would it be in the future?

Currently it's only possible to prevent all profiles from being edited by the users. In that case the user will only be able to activate pre-configured profiles in the Compact Mode.
However, I understand your use case to disable only some certain profiles. I have this feature on the ToDo list and I'm targeting to implement it by the end of the year.
