Re: Proxy - how to set username and password

I don't know a solution using some script (although of course there might be one). However, I can give you some general information for this scenario:

The Pro version can manage all the common proxy settings that are also available in Windows/IE and Firefox.
See here: http://www.netsetman.com/index.php?s=he … n#hf_proxy

It’s not possible to manage the proxy login credentials, however there’s an easy workaround:

1.    Open the hosts file of Windows (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hosts_%28f … ile_system) and enter the following in there:

1.2.3.4 firstlocation
1.2.3.4 secondlocation

Whereas 1.2.3.4 is your proxy server that shares the same IP but requires different login credentials.

2.    Now open NetSetMan Pro and enter “firstlocation” as the proxy address for your first profile, and “secondlocation” as the proxy address for your second profile (no IP address but exactly the two text strings).

3.    Now when connecting to those proxies you’ll be prompted by Windows for the credentials. Enter them, choose them to be stored, and repeat the same procedure for the second proxy when you’re at the second location.

The passwords will now remain stored because the two proxies don’t share the same name anymore. You won’t have to enter the credentials ever again. Just use NetSetMan Pro to switch from one profile to the other.
