[v] fixed IP, AutoDNS??
Hi,
maybe not really a bug, but should give at least a hint.
When setting a fixed IP address and leaving the DNS on automaticthe following thing happens (at least with Fritz!Box, I assume with others too)
Reaching the internet is not possible because no DNS information is retrieved. I had to set the DNS manually, then everything works.
BTW: How is the automatic DNS retrieved? Normally via DHCP, isn't it?? Maybe DHCP information is only obtained when using automatic IP address?!?
This problem occured with NSM 2.2.1

That's the point.
This "problem" hasn't anything to do with NetSetMan. Windows is told to set those settings this way. Everything else is done by Windows.
As you can check that in the in the TCP/IP settings of Windows:
By selecting "Use the following IP address" "Obtain a DNS address automatically" is greyed out.
I think I'm going to grey it out in NetSetMan, too. So that a user won't even try it.
