MSN V3.2.3 loosed profiles etc.

Hello all,

After the last update to V3.2.3 NSM won't work perfect.

First, all the profiles are gone. It isn't possible to import it etc.
The msn.smtp on outlook 2003 won't work every time. Sometime it will and sometimes not sad
Last, i had also a error warming by opening pro from tray icon

Thanks for any support

Re: MSN V3.2.3 loosed profiles etc.

I had the problem of loosing all profiles too!
And even when I restored the old folder the profiles didn't came back!
Import of an old settings file didn't work either.
Please help!

Re: MSN V3.2.3 loosed profiles etc.

I'm trying to figure out the reason for those "lost settings"-problems, however it doesn't seem to be easy since I can't reproduce them. I guess it has something to do with the character set recognition (Ansi, UTF8) of the settings file. That's the only thing that might give a plausable reason for the fact that you can't import an old file and might also be a cause for the lost settings.

Could you both please give me some details on the Windows systems that you use?
- Windows Version
- 32/64 bit
- language version/settings
- using NSM Service?
- installation folder in "c:\program files" or some custom location (where access restrictions don't apply)?

If you enter msn.smtp it actually shouldn't work at all, since it's not msn but nsm. Entering the correct string should solve your problem.

Is this reproducible? (meaning that it always happens after a certain action or combination of action)
If yes, could you please describe those actions and what kind of settings you have configured for the tray configuration. (if it's easier for you, you may send me your settings.ini file by email instead of describing it manually)

Hi Ilja,
here are the details:

- Windows Version                         -> Windows 7 Ultimate SP1
- 32/64 bit                                     -> 64bit
- language version/settings            -> language is english version?/settings? what did you mean?
- using NSM Service?                     -> No
- installation folder                        -> C:\Program Files (x86)\NetSetMan Pro\

Meaning if you have installed language packs for Windows or if you modified something regarding the default charset or something similar.

I've sent you a test project by email. Please send me back the results. They might help finding the cause of the problem. Thanks.
