Windows 7 x64 blocks IP change for several minutes
Every time I plug in my NIC card Windows blocks all attempts to change the IP address, claiming it's "busy". I can switch from a static IP profile to DHCP with NetSetMan, but not vice versa, having to wait until after Windows has given up trying to get a DHCP address or something, even when it's not set to DHCP.
Any thoughts?

Yes, unfortunately this problem exists. I'm not sure when it stated to come up but it definitely wasn't that noticeable several months ago. I assume it came with some Windows update.
However, I'm aware of the problem and I'm working on a solution.

Thanks, I didn't really think it was a problem with your software, rather hoping you'd be able to fix their new "feature"...

Since I can't "fix Windows" I'll have to try to find some workaround that will make it easier for the users. It's been always like this.
