Network Connections
Would it be possible for NetSetMan to make changes to the network connections themselves? I am evaluating the use of the Pro version at my job. Here is my environment: I support three separate networks that are linked via vlans. I have a Cisco switch at my desk and use a trunked port to access the vlans. I have VMware running as well with vm's for each network. Each vm is attached to a different vlan. My desktop system is a laptop that I travel with as well. When I travel, I have to go into the network connections (I am running Vista 64-bit) and reconfigure "Local Area Connection" so that it doesn't pass the vlan tags, and just treats it as a "normal" network connection. When I get back, I have to reverse this. It would be great if I could setup a NetSetMan profile to do all of this for me.
TIA,
Jon

Re: Network Connections
An automatic profile changing feature is being developed at the moment. I've been promissing since quite a while but since it's more complicated than I thought in the beginning it' being delayed.
The feature will allow auto switching depending on the available WiFi networks nearby.
As soon as this feature has been released you can try it out and give your feedback whether it does what you expected or not.

Re: Network Connections
Hi Ilja,
I was wondering if there has been any progress on this feature?
Sincerely,
Jon

Re: Network Connections
The AutoSwitch feature has been implemented with v3.2.0. Now it's possible to switch between profiles automatically based on the surrounding WiFi networks in different locations.
Not sure if it fits your requirements, though. Please have a look.
