Password protect profile activation?
NSM 3.0.3
WinXP Pro SP3
All I wish to do is password protect profile activations. That is, if someone tries to activate a profile, the password is entered, and if correct, the profile is activated.
However, if I enable administration and also disable the "Activate profiles" option, what happens is that if someone tries activating a profile, they are denied with an error message. There is no opportunity to enter the administration password. In fact, I cannot see how a profile may be activated without enabling the "Activate profiles" option again (or disabling Administration altogether).
Am I missing something?

Re: Password protect profile activation?
Why would you want to prompt everytime for a password when activating a profile? Please describe a use case.
The administration feature to limit possible user actions within NSM is designed to provide a general privilege management. It's a limitation by user and not by action.

Re: Password protect profile activation?
I use OpenDNS for adult content filtering. When I'm logged in and actively using the system, I use my ISP DNS servers to bypass adult content filtering. When my daughter is logged in, I want her using OpenDNS. I don't want her casually deciding to use the ISP DNS servers. However, if she is logged on, I want to be able to verify (and change if necessary) that OpenDNS is in use.

Re: Password protect profile activation?
I will consider this feature for one of the next versions.
