DCHP when not connected
I've following situation:
in my student's home i have a static ip
in my home i have WiFi and LAN, both with DHCP
When I am at my students home i disable my WiFi and set my LAN to the static IP.
When I am at home, i enabne WiFi and set it to DCHP and i set the lan to dhcp. But mostly I am at home connected using WiFi, so no LAN-cable is attached. When I then activate this profile, it sets LAN to DHCP but no IP-adress can be read, because no cable is attached. I do not think, here an error should be displayed when more than one network card is active, it would be normal, that only one is connected. furthermore the timeout is significant lower then the timeout of windows itself, so an error can be also displayed on slow dhcp servers, even everything is ok.
best regards
