Adding USB Hi Speed Modem to the Network Adapters

Hi,

How can I add the USB his speed modem to my available network adapters?

I want to make sure 2 things happen when connected via USB modem:

1. DNS address changes to a specific ip.
2. Windows Update does not autmatcally download any updates.

How can I perform this?

Thanks

Re: Adding USB Hi Speed Modem to the Network Adapters

NetSetMan isn't able to react on hardware changes like USB devices being connected. So an automated profile switching won't be possible in this case.

However, to manage your modem you can include it in the NICs list by hitting Refresh (or better: Advanced Refresh) while your model is connected.

Then you can assign it to profiles and change it's settings.
