3.01 won't accept profile
Running Win7 and NSM 3.01. 3.00 had same problem though different error message.
Using just the Win7 wlan setup I can log in to this network. In NSM I try to set up a profile. The network window shows the name of the network, the authentication as Open, the encryption as WEP. Connect says there is no profile, would I like to set one up. Yes. The SSID is already filled in and authentication set as Open but with no Encryption type or Password set. I set encryption to WEP and enter Password as 11aa22bb33. In 3.00 it would declare that the password was the wrong length. In 3.01 it says "The profile could not be saved due to incompatible Settings. Check and retry. Error: 70000009
Also I get a variety of Enumerate errors. Some for profile, some for network. All are Error#: 70000005
Ideas?

Re: 3.01 won't accept profile
I'm not able to reproduce this problem, so I can't tell why you get the error.
Is the password as you provided it exactly as you're entered it?
What's the name of the SSID? Are there non-ASCII characters in it? (if you don't want to post it here, please send it to me by email.)
Do you have checked any of the checkboxes?
I'd like to try to create a profile with exactly the same settings as you to see if I get an error, too.
One problem that might occur is that once you get that error, it will remain until you restart NetSetMan, even if the following settings are correct. I know this is shouldn't be like that, but I haven't found a way to fix this so far.
Please try the following:
- Exit NSM
- Start NSM, open the WiFi Management and try to create the profile as you've done before.
- If it failes, exit NSM again
- Now start it and create the profile from scratch (without trying to connect to the network, but by clicking "New"). Does that have a different result then?
By performing what actions do you get error 70000005?

Re: 3.01 won't accept profile
I did the tests you suggested adn got the same result each time. the SSIS is ubersoft-wireless. However, I went further and tried to create some other, fictional, profiles. All WEP, I didn't think to try other types but, as far as I can tell, it won't let me create any profiles. All complain of incompatible settings but it is possible that it is result of some permission problem? I am running as administrator user but do get the UAC warning when NSM starts up. Of course I tell it, Yes, Run but perhaps there is still some issue.
