Error 84
No matter which profile I choose, as NSM tries to connect I get an error 84 on the ip and gateway. It states that the cable is not connected or no connection possible.

What version are you using?
The error code indicates you're using the old IP activation method. You either activated it manually or your settings.ini file was created a long time ago (prior to version 3.4.0 in 2012). Make sure the old IP activation method is deactivated in the preferences. For new installations it's deactivated by default.
Preferences › General › [ ] Use WMI IP activation method

Version 3.2.5 is 5 years old already. Why are you using such an old version? We're afraid, but we cannot provide support for outdated versions.
You might notice that the option we've suggested is not the same that you're mentioning. Back then the WMI method was the default but is now deprecated. We've experimented with alternative activations for a while until we found the best solution. So the checkbox you're mentioning was only in some test state. You could try activating it, but we cannot guarantee it'll work for your case. Instead we highly recommend updating to the latest 4.1.4 version.
