Static IP connection Issue
I am using Netsetman licensed version to test out the program for our company. Computers on our network use static IP so wired connection and private Wi-Fi are also static; only the guest internet is on DHCP.
So essentially, I have connect setup 1 profile group. And it has 3 different profiles
Set 1 = wired
Set2 = private Wi-Fi
Set3 = guest Wi-Fi
Set 1 and Set2 are both on static hence same IP address and same gateway on the laptop. But whenever I use set 2 (private Wi-Fi) to connect; it won’t connect. Or sometimes it would have a connection but not ping the gateway IP address to test it.
Computer is bounded to network so authentication is there but sometimes when it won’t connect it would have authentication error where wireless sign would have ” ! “ mark on it.
And if you hover the mouse over the wireless sign in the task bar it would say, “ No internet access” but it is connected to Wi-Fi.

Re: Static IP connection Issue
Hi,
This message has been received twice by email and once here in the forums. Please be understanding that a response might take a day or two...
Having only the very limited amount of information as you’ve posted here it’s actually impossible to find out the cause of the problem you’re experiencing (what are the settings of Set1 and Set2?). My guess is that we’re not talking about some malfunction here but rather about a misconfiguration or some misunderstanding in the use of profiles and/or their configuration.
To allow an identification of the problem please provide the following (by email):
1. Your settings.ini file from the program folder
2. Screenshots of your profiles/activation process and the visible problem – Ideally: instead of the screenshots a screen recording of the whole process would be great. Wink is a good freeware tool for recording your screen.
