Windows 7 Issue
I have my new laptop with Win 7 Professional 64bit, updated recently.
I installed NetsetmanPro3. It worked well at two different locations, but when I tried to connect to a WiFi network after setting , it was not succesful.
But the program turned wrong. It hungs up at the phase >IP at subnet mask< without either any error code or error message.
I reinstalled NSM, without any improvement.
When the network parameters were adjusted manually the network works.
Mysterious...

Re: Windows 7 Issue
I have just noticed, some other people found the similar bug: "Stuck on Applying new settings... by ceo51378"
I tried the suggested solution: command promt:
"net localgroup administrators NetworkService /ADD"
But the answer was: "1376 system error" "The given local group not exist"
What next?

Re: Windows 7 Issue
Hard to tell why the amount of problems with the official interface increased in the last months and where the actual reasons are.
What I did to solve this problem is to develop a new, alternative way to change IP settings. It will be included in the next release as a Beta feature. If there aren't any problems with it, it will become the standard method for later versions.
If you're interested and willing to try out the new functionality beforehand, I can offer you a private Beta. But please only accept if you really have the time today/tomorrow and interest to test. The last 5 people who wanted to test it never replied (well, one did, telling that he didn't find any time to test it).

Re: Windows 7 Issue
Thank you very much for your quick answer.
I was an entirely satisfied user of NSMpro for several years.
Sorry to say It was necessary to leave the old, loved Win XP, for the Win7. I am sucking for it continously.
I would like to use NSMpro in the future as well.
I am willing to test a beta version, but what do you mean on testing?
