Service not started - "Der Dienst wurde nicht gestartet."
Everytime I start NetSetMan Pro 3.1.1 a window comes up showing a headline "NetSetMan" and the message: "Der Dienst wurde nicht gestartet." (Service not started.)
The window provides an "OK" Button.
After clicking OK, NetSetMan comes up but is not able to activate any profile. It stickt to the first task and stays there "forever":
[0:00] Start: Profile 1 (10:22:47)
[0:00] Start: LAN
I deinstalled NetSetMan and reinstalled it.
Unchanged.
This messagebox happens since a few weeks.
The malfunction to activate a profile started later...
Which service needs NetSetMan? I tried to install NSMservice but it did not help.
I and thus NetSetMan have admin rights.
I am using XP (32bit) with good patchlevel.
Kind regards

Re: Service not started - "Der Dienst wurde nicht gestartet."
The error message that you've posted is not part of the translated text strings within NetSetMan. This means that NetSetMan calls some system function that triggers that message.
If you're using XP with Administrator privileges you definitely don't need NSM Service. You can uninstall it. It has nothing to do with this problem.

Does this mean, you have SP3 installed?
Did you use any NetSetMan version before this one? (without getting this error)
To exclude the possibility that the problem comes from the newest feature "AutoSwitch" please deactivate it (the light bulb will turn grey), then close NetSetMan and run it again. Does the message show up again?
If nothing of this helped, please verify that WMI is installed correctly on your system, because if it has a problem the activation process will stop at the same position.
Go to www.netsetman.com/faq and perform the instruction under "Activating a profile doesn't work at all. What can I do?".
