Sorry, I think I missed your posting.
I'm not sure what feature you are writing about - what are "network units"?
In any case, please have a look at the log (click the "+" at the bottom of the activation window) to see some more details. Maybe the problem is stated there.

Do you have the NSM Service installed? If yes, please try deactivating (or uninstalling) it and then try to activate your profile again. I need to know where the source for the problem might be.

Re: Cannot connect network units in W7x64
Well, to be honest, I'm a bit clueless why this happens.
If you're trying to map a network drive that isn't available at the moment then this halt might be cause by the delay of Windows while trying to access this network resource. This delay is usualy set to one minute.
If you however are sure that this network resource is accessable at that moment, then the problem might be somewhere else.
Please check if your Net Drive configuration was set correctly.
And if nothing helps, then you could use the script feature instead of the built in Net Drive feature.
To map a network drive using a script, i.e. the command line, use the following syntaxt in a *.bat file:
net use x: \\computername\folder
where x is a free local drive letter.
