New To Networking

Excuse me for my ignorance but I need to network my desktop (main computer) and my laptop together.  I downloaded the software and tried to set it up but I cannot connect the two computers together.  I am a tax preparer and need to work off of both computers.  Could someone direct me in the right direction or give me a link for newbies to get my network going?  Thank you in advance for any help.

Since this question has only little to do with NetSetMan, I think it would be a better idea to google this issue. If I write two sentences it won't be enough, and a propper introduction to networking would be way too much write it in this forum.

If a user of this forum has the time to guide you through your network setup you might be lucky to receive an answer in the next days/weeks. However, I would recomment you to search for already existing propper and detailed instructions.

Same goes for you: This forum is only for NetSetMan-related questions and problems. Both your postings have nothing to do with NetSetMan. Please refer to another forum that is more suitable.
