running NSM in an XP pc without administrator privileges
I have installed NSM in XP pro and I runned it with an account that has not administrator rights... When I runned it it asked me to give an account with administrator rights and then it opend as you describe in this site. I put 2 tags of different settings but when I try to activate each one I take back the red message in red colors that access is denied for every entery I put (ip, dns, wins). With administrator account I have no problem. Can you help me?

Re: running NSM in an XP pc without administrator privileges
Technically there's no difference between running NSM with the Admin-Mode or with an administrator account, so I think something else went wrong.
So here some points you can check:
- Is the entered account data really from an administrator account?
- Have you clicked on OK in the Admin-Mode window and it closed auotmatically or have you closed it by clicking the [x]?
- Deactivate the option "Don't show Admin-Mode dialog" in the Info window, if you activated it in the Admin-Mode window. This way you'll get the dialog if administrator privileges can not be obtained.
You always can see if NSM is running with administrator privileges or not. Just have a look at the network adapter names (besides the refresh button). If the full name is inside then NSM has administrator privileges.
Adapter Name (Your network card)
-> admin, OK
? (Your network card)
-> restricted user account, not OK
