Advanced settings in Wireless Network Properties
I came across NetSetMan because the new Windows Wireless Network settings is ridiculous.
It only allows you to edit profiles that are currently connected. Therefore when a profile won't connect, you can't edit the wireless properties to get it to connect.
NetSetMan looks great and provides a lot of great information but it too is lacking the ability to edit these things as well. Maybe its because its not possible or maybe NetSetMan just over looked it.
I need the ability to change the following;
1) Wireless Properties > Security > PEAP Settings > "Verify the server's identity by validating the certificate" - checkbox either on or off.
2) Wireless Properties > Security > Advanced Settings > 802.1X settings > "Specify authentication mode:" - switch between Computer authentication, user authentication, both, etc.

Re: Advanced settings in Wireless Network Properties
NetSetMan does support editing all existing WiFi profiles (see section "WiFi Profiles" at the bottom left).
However, detailed Enterprise settings are currently not supported. Maybe the supported API situation changed, but at least back when we developed the WiFi management, EAP/802.1X settings had to be implemented at a driver-level which would have meant an irrational amount of additional effort for rather rarely changed settings.

Re: Advanced settings in Wireless Network Properties
Thanks for the quick reply.
Any chance that you will be looking in to the API to see if it now allows an easy way to update these settings?

Re: Advanced settings in Wireless Network Properties
We will add this to our list, but we can't prioritize this. We will look into this when we get to work on the WiFi Management again. Right now, we are behind schedule with other features, so we're afraid, your request can't be done in the near future.
