MAC addresses are different in NetSetMan than in my UTM?
Windows Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042
Sophos UTM firmware version 9.707-5
Netsetman Version 5.0.6
Hi all,
I'm trying to troubleshoot some of my access points. Every MAC address on netsetman shows up as a slightly different MAC address inside the Sophos UTM. Most of the address is the same, but one might end with :f6 in netsetman, but in sophos would end with :fb
How can this be? In my office, for instance, there's only one Access point that is within range, so I know I'm only connected to it, but each program shows a different MAC address. Who's right?

If two statements contradict each other, you should get a third opinion.
But in all seriousness: We are confident that our data is displayed correctly. If you want to verify that, simply get another freeware tool that is able to scan and visualize wifi networks and you should be able to find out who is wrong and who is right.
Notice, that an access point can have multiple MAC addresses, for example for 2.4 and 5GHz networks or for a guest network.
